Dancehall superstar Spice has been added to season 7 of VH1’s hit reality TV series Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.

According to the network, the ‘Queen of the Dancehall” whose real name is Grace Hamilton, will be channeling her inner Amara La Negra to crossover from Dancehall into the American music industry in the new season.

Dancehall fans can expect to see the ‘Needle Eye’ deejay working on her international career as she will be hitting the studio with producer Stevie J and other current and former cast members.

Spice is no stranger to the docu-soap franchise as she was a guest on the show last year when the cast visited Jamaica in 2017. Season seven of Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta will start on March 19.

Spice Breaks Down In Tears After Plane Suffers Engine Trouble Mid-Flight

Back in December Spice vowed that in 2018 she would shake things up by adding more hip-hop to her catalogue. She made good on her promise when she dropped her first video of the year for her rap track titled ‘Duffle Bag’.

Spice says if international acts can use dancehall and reggae to their advantage, Jamaican entertainers are also free to use other genres to make hits. She said she will now try to fuse dancehall with trap and hip-hop to create a new genre called ‘dancehop’.

According to Spice, the new genre will be her main focus for this year. She also made it clear that she will not forget Dancehall and will continue to release her hardcore songs for her day one fans.
