Shenseea has been complaining about being ill for the last few weeks and it seems the issue is more serious than we thought.
The Dancehall singjay took to social media on Tuesday to reveal that she was currently suffering from vocal cord trauma.
“I haven’t been able to record a song in 4 weeks and because i been non stop pushing it my voice started to fail me whilst on stage performing cuz i really wasn’t taking it seriously,” the “ShenYeng Anthem” singer wrote on Instagram. “I really don’t wanna get to the point where i have to do surgery or lose my voice completely so I have no choice but to be canceling some of my shows…and unfortunately London and Birmingham are 2 of the locations, sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused cuz I too am disappointed,” she added.
Shenseea continued by saying this will be the first time in her career she would be cancelling an event and asked Dancehall fans to keep her in their prayers.
Shenseea instantly got support from fellow Dancehall entertainer Spice, Dovey Magnum, Shauna Chyn and Soca artiste Nailah Blackman.
“God is in control ?????? I’ll keep you in my prayers you soon get better Goodie ???,” Spice wrote.
Dovey Magnum also sent her prayers and said she knows the feeling, “Prayers we use and win !! Rest my jujupussie Yeng yeng rest up , I know exactly what you going through you will conquer this ! ?,” she commented.
While Shauna Chyn said, “Get well soon love, u work hard from day one so it all come behind it. Just rest up @shenseea an come back fast ??.”
