Dancehall artiste and television personality Sanjay and popular dancer Shelly Belly have teamed up to produce an infectious single, Wild, which is set to heat things up for the summer. After taking over the streets with Belleh, Sanjay’s latest single responds to the track Stop While Up by Ding Dong and I-Octane which was released on the Money Mix Riddim in April.

Wild was produced by Starplayer Music Group and Portland Cottage Productions and premiered at Magnum Wednesdays in Kingston on Wednesday, May 10 taking aim at the single by Ding Dong and I-Octane.

“This is not a counteraction. This is just to mek dem know, say we wild and we proud!” said Shelly Belly. “Everybody have their own way to do things. Some calm, but we wilder dan dem by far. But big up I-Octane same way. We and him good,” he concluded.

The hardcore dancehall track embraces being “wild” a direct shot at the “don’t wild up” message in the track by Ding Dong and I-Octane, “We not only bad inna song, we bad all the while” as the lyrics respond directly.

Wild joins the duo’s slew of latest collaborations that include Tek Ova Remix which features the Grung Gad, Bounty Killer and Bully which was released in April of this year.

With no signs of slowing down, the Sanjay and Shelly Belly are expected to make their debut appearance at Red Stripe Reggae Sumfest 25 slated for July 16 -22 with the live performances scheduled for Friday, July 21 at the Catherine Hall Entertainment Complex in Montego Bay.
