Shauna Chyn is shutting down rumours that she’s unable to travel outside the Caribbean.
The rumours have been circulating for years after Chyn, whose given name is Laniece Shauna Anderson, returned to Jamaica in 2013 after two years probation as punishment for possession of marijuana in the United States.
Last month Shauna Chyn shocked social media users when she travelled to Canada for a performance. However she’s letting her fans know she could’ve travelled, “I just wanted to make sure that when I did, I had something to offer people. I’m at a good place in my career now, I have fans who want to see me and so now is the right time,” Chyn said.

The “White Christmas” singer said she was motivated to travel recently after finding out that promoters overseas were using her name to advertise their events without contacting her for bookings.
According to Shauna Chyn, her fans would attend those events thinking she was going to perform, only for the organizers to apologise for her no-show, claiming she didn’t obtain the necessary travel documents.
Chyn who also travelled to Europe following her incident in the United States, says her team will be submitting an application to retrieve her US documents very soon.
