Shaggy will be joining this season of American Idol.
The Grammy-winning entertainer made the announcement last week on Instagram. According to Shaggy he will be joining the American singing competition television series to perform at their season premiere and for their All-Star Duets.
The seventeenth season of American Idol will premiere on March 3 the season finale on May 20, 2019, on the ABC television network. This will be the show’s second season to air on ABC. Ryan Seacrest will continue his role as the show’s host, while Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie continue as judges.
Shaggy’s idol announcement comes just days after winning the 2019 Grammy Award for Best Reggae album for his collaborative project “44/876” with Sting.
