Cops have launched a massive investigation at the Tower Street Adult Correctional Centre, formerly known as the General Penitentiary (GP), in downtown Kingston, following the discovery of a tunnel at the facility.
According to reports, a secret tunnel was discovered at the maximum security prison during an operation carried out by the police/military on Friday afternoon.
Investigators have reportedly questioned several individuals from the facility since the discovery, however, no arrest has been made.
It remains to be seen where the tunnel might have actually led to, or what it’s purpose may have been as investigators have remained tight-lipped on the matter.
