Jamaican pop star Sean Kingston might be living life in Jamaica but his legal troubles in the United States are far from over.
The “Beautiful Girls” singer is now desperately requesting a new trial after he failed to pay a Florida-based jeweler $44,000 USD which has since resulted in a Judge issuing a warrant for his arrest, TMZ reports.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The news outlet obtained new court documents in which Kingston says he didn’t know about the order to pay the sum because he ignored the papers he received, thinking it was for a different case.

Kingston is reportedly begging for mercy as he has to represent himself due to “financial efficiency.” He also cites health issues after being assaulted recently.
The singer says he needs to share his side of the story, as he tried to return some of the pieces in question and set up a payment plan but Haimov Jewelers refused.
