Samantha J has given fans an update on her recovery process following her horrific freak accident which left her with a broken jaw and several broken teeth while in Belize.
The 22-year-old Jamaican pop star recently revealed that her injuries were more serious initially reported following a bruising fall at a hotel she was staying off the mainland of Belize.
The “Tight Skirt” singer took to Instagram last week giving fans an update on her physical condition by posting a video of herself accompanied by her mother walking gingerly along the beach.
“Bit swollen but wanted y’all to see how I been doing ❤️??Big Up all the djs playing my New Music” she captioned the post.
It had been initially reported that the “Picture” singer had only sustained a broken jaw and teeth, however, doctors later discovered she also sustained a fractured hand as well as swelling to the lower back.
The Jamaican starlet has remained in the country under the care of doctors until the necessary X-rays are performed to ensure her back injuries are not more serious following recent swelling.
Samantha J was slated to perform at several events during Belize’s biggest cultural celebration, the Costa Maya Festival, but the unfortunate accident means the singer had to cancel all immediate tour dates.
