Samantha J took to social media on Tuesday to share the first photo following her accident over the weekend and revealed that her injuries are way more serious than initial reports.
According to the “Tight Skirt” singer, she broke her her teeth, jaw, hand and ribs over the weekend after falling down a flight of stairs in Belize.
“God Works Miracles ✨? Thanks everyone for the well wishes ? On the road to recovering broken teeth ,jaw ,hand,and ribs ,But my drive is stronger than ever !,” she wrote on Instagram to her over 133,000 followers.
Samantha J also revealed that a new doctor discovered that her lower is also swollen, so she is now awaiting an X-ray to be done immediately. Her mother has since travelled to Belize as she requires assistance to bathe and move around.
The 21-year-old singer whose given name is Samantha Gonsalves, was in Belize to perform at one of the country’s biggest cultural events of the year, Costa Maya Festival.
Meanwhile, there is much uncertainty surrounding the length of time she will need to recuperate.
Samantha J has pulled the plug on all her shows for the summer and events that her team had booked for the rest of the year might be affected.
