Dancehall fans in New York have been left shocked by the death of popular dancer and event promoter “Cocky Tractor.”

Fans on the New York Dancehall scene have expressed shock and grief following the killing of the popular dancer-turned promoter, whose real name is Judith Miller-Warren, who was gunned down in Anchovy, St James earlier this week.

Miller-Warren, who is originally from Jamaica, had been living in the US for a number of years and had managed to become one of the most influential figures on the New York Dancehall scene.

Many have taken to social media expressing their shock and anger towards the senseless killing including the woman’s sister who grieved saying “My heart is bleeding …They took a piece of my heart.”

“This is so sad,” one fellow promoter wrote on Facebook while another user said “We want answers… Dis look like ah set up to mi.”

“R.I.P. sis, I miss you” Marvin The Beast captioned several photos of the two on Instagram.

According to police reports, Miller-Warren and a male companion were sitting in a motorcar in the Nigger Ground section of Anchovy at approximately 7:00 pm, when they were attacked by gunmen who shot them several times.

The two were rushed to hospital where Miller-Warren was pronounced dead while the male companion admitted in serious condition.

Tractor was set to celebrate her birthday this coming Wednesday, at an event in Queens, New York which promoters say will still go ahead with proceeds going towards her funeral arrangements and children.
