Popcaan dropped his highly anticipated sophomore album “Forever” on Friday a day after its launch in New Kingston.

The “Unruly” boss premiered his 17-track album at his launch party, which was held at the Triple Century car park.

Fans turned out in their numbers to support the “Firm & Strong” deejay, who also celebrated his 30th birthday on the same day.

The event got off to a late start, kicking off two hours later than its scheduled 8:00 p.m. starting time but did not disappoint as fans were treated to performances by the Unruly Boss alongside Bugle, Nesbeth, Dre Island, Jah Vinci, Jafrass, and a host of others.

The album, which is produced by international producer Dre Skull for his Mixpak Record label, is being hailed as being possibly the deejay’s best work to date. The project features singles such as “Firm and Strong,” “Wine for Me,” and “Body So Good.”

Despite earlier rumours of a possible Drake collaboration, the album’s only feature comes in the form of the track “Dun Rich” with African superstar Davido.

Since its release on Friday, the album has already raced to the top of the Billboard Reggae Charts, bettering his 2014 debut album “Where We Come From,” which peaked at number two.

Forever is now currently No.20 on iTunes Top Album Chart in the US (All Genres) and No.21 on Apple Music Top Album Charts in the US.
