Ishawna and her Equal Rights movement comes under fire as a Portland Councillor has called for her to be banned from performing in the parish.

Stephen Williams, a councillor for the St. Margaret’s Bay Division in Portland, wants the female dancehall artist to be banned from performing in the parish following her lewd performance at a event in Port Antonio on Labour Day.

According to the politician, the ‘Equal Rights’ singer’s lewd and irresponsible lyrics were so graphic and degrading that it posed a threat to the morals of society itself.

He claims that the former Downsound Records artist behavior should not be encouraged in any form, and suggests that the artist should be banned from performing at future events within the parish.

Ishawna sent female patrons into a frenzy on Tuesday night when she performed the raunchy single, “Mi seh some people affi guh cork dem ears…. dem affi guh cork dem ears tonight!” Ishawna said taking jabs at Bounty Killer.

“Bumpa to some bwoy nice cleeeaaan farid…. a dat mi seh,” an emotional Ishawna told fans during her set.
