A Judge has ordered the release of Dancehall entertainer Alkaline by 6PM on Monday if the deejay isn’t charged in relation to the murder of Rohan “Head” Morris.

The ruling was made Monday morning in the St Andrew parish court, Superintendent Meverald Smith appeared on behalf of the police and objected to the application for the Vendetta deejay’s release made by his attorney Peter Champagnie. According to Smith, investigators asked Alkaline several questions, all of which he responded to by saying “I am innocent of these charges”.

Last week Tuesday the Criminal Investigation Branch of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) released a statement saying Alkaline was wanted for questioning in relation to the murder of Morris as cops believe the deejay can assist with the investigation. 28-year-old Morris was shot more than 15 times at his home in Oaks Garden, St Andrew last month allegedly beside his 5-year-old daughter.
