Notis Heavyweight Rockaz is gearing up for the official release of their brand new single, We Are The Builders. Released officially to the public on Friday August 24, they have succeeded in creating a universe of words that is inspired by one of Jamaica’s own national heroes, Marcus Garvey.

The drum and bass duo of Welshy Bass and Unga Barunga wrote the song on his birthday last year and it is reflective of his teachings.

“It didn’t come in a penning form; Unga and I were at the studio holding a vibes and the words just came from nowhere,” explained Welshy Bass.

Produced by Notis Productions, the track is an inspirational and motivational one, aimed at the group doing their part in bringing about some positive changes in Jamaica and by extension the world.

“We want people to listen and remember who they are; you are important, you are a person of value and do not dim your light. It doesn’t matter where you are coming from; all that matter is where you are going,” expressed Unga Barunaga.

Welshy Bass added, “I want it to reach, to be heard internationally. It is a good song with a great message and a reminder to remember your roots as humans.”

So far, the feedback on the track has been tremendously and it has been receiving constant rotation from Irie FM and other local stations.

The duo is known for other tracks such as Raggy Road, Miss You and No Bad Days. In their quest for international recognition, they have taken their sound around the world; one of their most notable achievements is opening for New Zealand reggae band Katchafire on their 32-date international tour, with stops across the United States.

Distributed by Zojak Worldwide, We Are The Builders is available for streaming and purchase on all major digital platforms.
