The world’s richest black woman, Folorunsho Alakija of Nigeria dropped £5 Million (USD $6.4 million) on her son’s wedding earlier this month.
The lavish ceremony took place at Blenheim Palace in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, where Sir Winston Churchill was born.
The groom, Folarin Alakija, married Iranian model Nazanin Ghaissarifa in front of friends, family and celebrity guests. According reports among the wedding expenses were with £1 Million for roses, a 12ft cake and a surprise performance from Robin Thicke
Folorunsho Alakija is a mother of four and has an estimated net worth of $1.61 billion. She is the vice chair of Nigerian oil company Famfa Oil and Forbes ranks her as the 18th richest person in Africa.
