Trinidadian Rapper Nicki Minaj is set to venture into Dancehall territory with her upcoming single slated for later this month.
According to sources close to the ‘Only’ Rapper, Nicki will be releasing a new Dancehall-inspired track which will sample one of Incarcerated Dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel’s hit singles. Sources also added that the track could be featured on Minaj’s forthcoming album.

Nicki Minaj is reportedly going for a Dancehall sound for her next project and reached out to a few of Dancehall artistes for sampling and possible collaborations which will see her following the new trend of international artistes releasing Jamaican-infused tracks. Since the start of 2016 many top acts including Drake, Rihanna, Tyga, Fifth Harmony and Tory Lanez have released singles inspired by Dancehall and Reggae.
