Outspoken Veteran Dancehall artiste Mr. Vegas has revealed that his team is now in talks with representatives of American rapper Tyga over the use of a sample on the rapper’s song ‘1 Of 1’ single.

Rapper Tyga sampled recently sampled Mr. Vegas’ classic late 90’s hit “Sucky Ducky,” which was produced by Tony “CD” Kelly, in his new single “1 Of 1”.
However, the controversial singjay claims he was only made aware of the sample after its release, and did not negotiate the terms.
According to Vegas he is still awaiting a response from his music publishers on the matter, but like many Jamaican artistes he does not own the master copies to majority of his music.
The singjay went on to explain that a lot of the material from his early career is totally controlled by publishers, and that they don’t necessarily have to contact him based on agreements from that particular era.

Mr. Vegas of course was recently highly critical of Canadian rapper Drake for not giving featured credits to Dancehall artistes Popcaan, Beenie Man, Serani or Mavado on his album Views.
