Seattle Seahawks defensive lineman Michael Bennett has blasted basketball superstar Steph Curry for a kids basketball camp he hosted in his native Hawaii.

Curry, who is generally regarded as one of the most likable players in the NBA was blasted by the NFL man recently.

The Golden State Warriors and Curry hosted a four-day basketball camp for kids in Hawaii recently. But the camp drew criticism from locals including Bennett who blasted the $2,250, cost.

“I see a lot of different athletes come through Hawaii whether it’s Steph Curry or whoever it is. They all come here and it makes me mad, because I live in this community and I understand this community — that there’s so many kids who can’t afford to pay such a high amount of money. In my mind it’s like, how much money do you need before you start giving back for free? And I think a lot of athletes should start focusing on that.”

Bennett has hosted a free football camp in Oahu for the last four years, so his standpoint can be understood.

It is however unlikely that Curry had any influence over the cost of the camp, as organization was done by the Golden State Warriors.
