Veteran Dancehall deejay Merciless has reacted to the recent sentencing of his fellow entertainer Ninja Man, who was this week sentenced to life in prison in relation to the 2009 murder of Ricardo Johnson.
The self-coined “War Head” has labelled the sentencing as a sad day for the industry, adding to a growing list of renown entertainers who are currently behind bars including Vybz Kartel, Buju Banton and Zebra.

Merciless, who was a lyrical rival of Ninja Man over the years says he hopes authorities will allow the deejay to continue recording music from behind bars, as he feels his music can still inspire persons in a positive way.
The veteran entertainer will have to serve 25 years of a life sentence before being deemed eligible for parole. His attorney has already signalled an intent to appeal the conviction.
