Mavado is reportedly considering acquiring the services of Vybz Kartel’s star-studded legal team to fight his son’s murder case.

According to reports, the ‘Progress’ deejay is willing to pull all the stops to prove his son’s innocence after the 16-year-old was slapped with murder charges in relation to the killing of 23-year-old Lorenzo Thomas.

Sources close to the Gully Side camp claim the deejay is looking to employ a star-studded defense team, including Tom Tavares-Finson, who is regarded as one of the best defense attorneys in Jamaica.

Mavado’s 16-Year-Old Son Murder Case Gets Another Twist

Mavado, who is currently in the United States where he is a permanent resident, has yet to return to the island despite several warnings from law enforcement officials to turn himself in for questioning.

Reports earlier this week claim the deejay has been actively avoiding the island out of fears that both his life and freedom may be at risk from cops and criminal elements alike following a shooting incident in his hometown community of Cassava Piece.

There has been no word on when the deejay may return to the island but law enforcement officials have since disclosed that they may be forced to have him extradited if necessary.
