Mavado is fearful his teenage son could end up going to prison for a crime he did not commit.

The “Father Gad” deejay is reportedly concerned law enforcement authorities in Jamaica could send his 16-year-old son to prison for a murder he did not commit.

Sources close to the Dancehall superstar have revealed that the entertainer is convinced that his son remains innocent and will do everything within his power to fight for his freedom.

However, according to sources within the Gully camp, there is a growing belief that the teenager is being used by cops as an example, and also means of luring the deejay back to Jamaica.

“They can’t get the boss to pin something on him, so they are trying to pin it on his son. The whole Jamaica need to see and know what’s going on,” the source claimed.

The teen is being housed at the Metcalfe Street Secure Juvenile Remand Centre and is scheduled to return to court on October 17.

Following the teen’s arrest many Dancehall fans openly criticized the entertainer accusing him of being a lousy father and abandoning his child, however, sources say that couldn’t be further from the truth as the deejay is supporting him in every way possible.

The teen was charged with murder in connection with the killing of 23-year-old Lorenzo Thomas, who was shot, chopped and burned to death at his home in Cassava Piece, St Andrew back in June.

Mavado is currently in the United States where he holds a permanent residency and has ignored several warnings from the police to turn himself in for questioning.
