Mavado is once again sending out a prayer for his teenage son.

The international Dancehall entertainer’s 16-year-old son is facing charges of murder, conspiracy to commit murder, shooting with intent, and illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Mavado’s son along with another man were charged in July for the June 5 murder of Lorenzo Thomas, in Cassava Piece, St Andrew.

It is being alleged that the two accused were among a group of men who went to Thomas’ house. The door was kicked open and Thomas was shot, chopped with machetes and then set ablaze.

The ‘Gully Gad’ recently gave fans a preview of his upcoming single “Dancehall Prophecy” on Instagram and also shared a prayer for his son.

“‘By humility and fear of the Lord, are riches, honour and life’. Proverbs 22:4,” Mavado wrote. “Good Morning. I rose today with the power of God to pilot me and His strength to sustain me. One more new hope, one more new step. Father we thank you for the privilege to be your representative. We choose to honour you in all we do, setting the standard and to do our very best.”
