Masicka is the latest Dancehall artiste that has been targeted by scammers.
Earlier this week, the Genahsyde deejay warned fans about a fake Instagram account that has been posing as him to defraud Dancehall selectors and promoters of them money.
“Fake page. Don’t get scam do not send your money to no one. Business email in bio.,” Masicka wrote under a screenshot of the account named ‘Masickamusiic’ which had over 33,000 followers.
Earlier this month, Vybz Kartel and Ishawna were targeted by scammers online.
Unscrupulous persons have created a fake Vybz Kartel Facebook page and were taking money from unsuspecting producers and disc jockeys.
While in Ishawna’s case, scammers created an Instagram account and messaged her fans promising them nude photos in exchange of cash, $3 USD for unlimited access to an alleged website with explicit photos of the entertainer.
