A Trinidadian man was arrested over the weekend after he violently attacked police officers.

In a viral video which surfaced online Sunday, the man can be seen using what appears to be a belt or strap to assault officers along the Churchill Roosevelt Highway, Trinidad and Tobago.

One lawman received several blows to his face before the culprit was subdued and taken into custody.

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) has identified the man as 41-year-old Terrence Samuel. He was charged with assaulting a police officer in the execution of his duty, resisting arrest and obstruction on a highway.
