The woman who was this week arrested and charged with child cruelty following the emergence of a shocking viral video which saw her beating her 12-year-old daughter with a machete has been granted bail.

The 44-year-old woman, Doreen Dyer, was released from lockup on Tuesday after being bailed by her cousin but is already facing an uphill battle to find legal fees.

According to the woman, she is extremely stressed as she was already in debt to various persons before her arrest, and is now she is facing the prospect of finding a $50,000 attorney fee for her case which begins on Monday.

The unemployed mother of 5 children says she does not know where the money will come from, as she is having difficulty even finding food to provide.

Dyer was arrested and charged after being questioned by police and officers of the Child Development Agency earlier this week in relation to the shocking footage which sparked widespread outrage among social media users.
