Rapper David Banner has been awarded a default judgement for his lawsuit against Lil Wayne’s Young Money Records over monies he claim the label owes him.

Banner had filed a lawsuit against Young Money, claiming that he had not been compensated for production work he did on three songs for Lil Wayne’s ‘The Carter III’ and ‘We Are Young Money’ back in 2012.

According to Banner, he is owed $138,787.19 in royalties for the songs “La La” and “P*ssy Monster,” and $15,392.57 from “Streets Is Watchin.”

However there seems to be some confusion of who was supposed to pay, as Wayne is a Cash Money artiste and it would seem to fall under their responsibility to pay Banner.

The outcome of the case was ruled in favour of Banner after Young Money failed to respond to the case, resulting in a default judgement. Young Money is now expected to pay Banner $164,303.19, plus interest.
