International Recording artiste Konshens was yesterday in tears after learning about the recent gruesome murder of 15-year-old Shanice Smith, the daughter of Jamaican entertainer Anthony Cruz, and her mother, Karen Lyle at their apartment in Sunrise, Fort Lauderdale.
“Real tears come a mi eyes inna di day yah,” Konshens wrote on his Instagram account. “Condolences to Anthony Cruz star. Kill di man daughter over domestic dispute wid her mom. Man shoot both a dem inna dem head. God know dis hard. Once u start think negatively towards u partner jus gwaaaan nuh man. Now di man f**king daughter dead over people an dem relationship fuckry an dem anger. It no matter how di story go no love neva worth di man pickney life star. God know jus be strong singer,” he added.

Arrested for the murders is a man identified as Kevin Nelson who hails from Montego Bay, St James. He has prior run ins with law enforcement in South Florida for domestic violence after he assaulted his wife. The 32-year-old was arrested after a standoff lasting several hours, and extensive negotiation, the police have since released the 911 call he made shortly after allegedly killing the Smith and Lyle.
