Kodak Black was released from jail today, Saturday, August 18.

The Florida rapper, born Dieuson Octave, was serving time in Broward County Jail on probation violation charges of driving with a suspended license and associating with people engaged in criminal activity.

Kodak was picked up in a black Bentley Bentayga SUV and driven to his mother’s home to see his son, according to WPLG Local 10.

Police searched his Pembroke Pines home in January after an Instagram video revealed marijuana around his son. He was arrested and charged with child neglect, grand theft of a firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and marijuana possession.

Kodak Black Indicted on Sexual Assault Charges

In February, charges of child neglect and grand theft of a firearm were dropped. He pleaded not guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and marijuana possession, and was initially supposed to serve one year in prison. However, his release was moved from October to August 18.

While incarcerated, the 21-year-old legally changed his name to Bill K. Kapri and passed his GED Ready test.

Black is now awaiting trial for sexual assault charges in South Carolina from October 2017.
