Reggae recording artiste Jesse Royal is expecting a child with his girlfriend Lea Embaye.
Lea made the announcement on social media earlier this month when she uploaded an ultra sound with the caption, “Cub 👑❤ #BabyAxe #LionPaw,” Jesse Royal was also tagged in the photo.
Since the news broke many fans have took to her social media accounts to send congratulatory messages to her and Jesse. However some critics have used to opportunity to take aim at the ‘Modern Day Judas’ singer’s baby mama’s complexion.
Royal has been silent on the negative comments until recently when he broke his silence responding to the critics saying Lea has strong african blood, while adding his love has no borders.
“For the record, di African blood strong inna her,” and further stressed that “My love has no borders,” he wrote. Lea also shared that she’s “Not worried about being ‘dark enough’ for someone else.”
Dancehall artiste Popcaan was also recently labelled a ‘sellout’ by critics when he uploaded a photo with his girlfriend Kavelle Keir.
