Reggae Sumfest Night One, formerly known as Dancehall Night kicks off tonight and apart from paying the booking fees, organisers have to ensure that each performer is comfortable on and off the stage.

Reggae Sumfest organisers recently shared via social media Spice and Beenie Man’s rider demands; both acts are set to perform at the Catherine Hall Entertainment Centre in Montego Bay later Friday, July 19.

The King of Dancehall has requested an air conditioned, secure, well-lit backstage area. Beenie Man also requested that he and his team be given at least one sound check before the performance.

Other requests from the veteran entertainer;

  • Six fresh hand-size white towels
  • One quart Campari
  • 24 cans of Red Bull
  • 3 bottles of 19 Crimes red wine
  • 1 bottle of Belaire Rosé
  • Cheese and crackers tray
  • Chicken wings

While the Queen of Dancehall Spice who performers with her Team Spice dancers requested;

  • 1 bottle of Moët & Chandon
  • 3 cans of cashews
  • 3 cans of almonds
  • Assorted fruit
  • Igloo filled with ice
  • 12 face/hand towels
  • 2 full-length mirrors
