A Hanover man is now dead following a hit-and-run accident which transpired along the Hopewell main road in Hanover on Friday morning.
The dead man has been identified as 22-year-old Michael Mittoo, who hails from Pond Piece in Hopewell.
According to reports, the police was alerted after a mini bus driver spotted the man’s motionless body, with his head bashed in along a section of the Hopewell main road at approximately 4:45 am.

The man was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators theorize that the man was mowed down during a hit-and-run accident and is asking any members of the public with information to contact the Lucea police at 9562333.
