Former President George W. Bush and former first lady Laura Bush are scheduled to visit Africa in a trip that will highlight their work to improve the lives of women there.

The Dallas-based George W. Bush Institute said Thursday that the Bushes will visit Botswana and Namibia on April 4-6. It’s the former president’s seventh trip to Africa since leaving office.

In Botswana, the Bushes will visit a clinic that provides cervical cancer screening and treatment. Bush’s institute is among organizations participating in the Pink Ribbon Red Ribbon initiative, which combats cervical and breast cancer in the developing world.

In Namibia, the Bushes will visit programs supported by the country’s first lady, Monica Geingos. They’ll also visit facilities being prepared for Pink Ribbon Red Ribbon’s launch in Namibia this spring.
