George Nooks

George Nooks is a free man.

The Reggae singer was found not guilty of cocaine possession charges on Tuesday when he appeared before the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court.

“The judge said that there were several inconsistencies in the prosecution’s case and, as a consequence, Nooks was found not guilty,” George Nooks’ attorney, Tom Tavares-Finson said.

The “God Is Standing By” singer was arrested in May 2017 after the police said they found about two ounces of cocaine in the bag he was carrying. He was subsequently arrested and charged.

Meanwhile, George Nooks is contemplating a lawsuit against the police for false arrest. Last month Nooks was taken into police custody last month by members of the police narcotics team.
