George Nooks is asking his fans for their support amidst his recent arrest.
The Veteran Reggae singer was arrested and charged on Friday, May 5 after cops found cocaine in his 2016 Mercedes Benz.
According to the “God is Standing By” he’s shocked to see the bad press he’s already getting and the distasteful comments from some of his fans since the news broke over the weekend.
The Saint Andrew Police says Nooks was arrested during an operation in Duhaney Park area around 9PM on Friday. The singer was reportedly seen acting in a suspicious with a brown paper bag in his hand as he walked towards a vehicle.

When detectives approached him, Nooks opened the vehicle and threw the paper bag inside. The Narcotics then searched his luxury car and found a small transparent plastic bag with white powdery substance resembling cocaine.
Nooks who is on bail for $80,000 JMD has been losing a few fans and shows since his arrest. He was given a May 17 court date and has maintained his innocence.
He will be represented by Tom Tavares-Finson.
