After the release of his hit single “Dat Nuh Hard Fi Do”, Frassman Brilliant predicted during an interview that he would become an International Superstar.

He foresaw the time coming where he would be in preparation for the next phase of his career, that wasn’t possible at the place of his beginnings. With “Welcome To Jamaica” reaching its peak of island fame Frassman has unofficially given a face to Jamaica’s tourism industry.

Frassman Brilliant’s recent interviews are less about his performances but centered on his Label NS Music Enterprise and their future plans. Which is why it is surprising to hear rumors that he is to sign a label deal with a major record label. Its intriguing that he might transition from the label that has carried his career thus far. He has proven that he’s able to tour and sell out massive shows and has said that by being in the industry so long he’s accumulated a wealth of resources he needs no middle man to reach. There’s nothing more dangerous than a man with options and Frassman Brilliant has many.

On one hand functioning completely independent comes with freedom. The money he makes is shared with his team and no one else. He also understands that he could use a major deal to break into a larger mainstream audience although having them over his shoulder would truly be putting his career into their hands. It’s a difficult decision but could lead to a prosperous outcome. If he negotiates, the money he receives will not be a modest amount.

Brilliant is at a crossroads. While his fans sit and celebrate his present, Frassman is likely looking beyond iTunes and ticket sales. His mind is focused on a distant tomorrow, on his next big move. Four years ago we wondered if Brilliant was here to stay, now the only question is where he’s heading to next.

The next Frassman Brilliant performance is scheduled for May 28, 2017 at the 11th annual staging of Best Of The Best , Miami FL.
