The Proactive Investigation Unit (PIU) in St Ann is reporting that they has successfully arrested five persons for lottery scamming in the past few weeks.

According to the specialized police unit, their operations have been largely successful, as they have made as many as five arrest within the parish. In the last few weeks cops have made arrest in the were in the communities of Bamboo and also Browns Town.

Those arrested include a couple, 31-year-old clothes vendor Seon Harris and 21-year-old hairstylist Tamika Trewick, both of Lillyfield District in Bamboo.

The couple were arrested after cops raided their home, finding personal information for 350 United States residents, along with several cell phones.

This follows a major arrest of three men, who were detained in the Browns Town community for possessing identity information for over 1050 people.

The three men were identified as 21-year-old Sheldon Walker, 20-year-old Desrick Walters and 21-year-old Kevon Johnson.
