Damian Marley came under fire over the weekend after he adopted a lion in Kenya last week.
The ‘Welcome To Jamrock’ singer was in the African country for a performance when he visited the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) and adopted the animal.
However after a video surfaced online, many Jamaicans have sought to blast Jr Gong claiming he should have used the money to help the poor in his country.

“A dat him really tek him money and do and nuff people a dead fi hungry,” one social media user questioned.
“Smh dem Marley yah nuh have no sense eno animal him a spend pan and look how much people need help,” one added.
“What about those who need help, you should have built a school or shelter in Africa instead of supporting a animal.” another wrote.
Damian Marley performed in Kenya on Wednesday.
