Veteran recording artiste Tanya Stephens is in full support of Etana despite the Reggae singer losing a few fans over her Trump endorsement.

Etana, real name Shauna McKenzie, found herself in hot water on Friday immediately after she announced that she’s supporter of controversial Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump during a candid interview on this week’s Entertainment Report. The “Strong One” who also added that she intends to vote for him received tons of hate messages on her social media pages from Jamaicans and reggae fans.

“Your reasons for supporting trump are weak, unintelligent & ignorant. I won’t even elaborate as stupid is and stupid does stupid things. Won’t unfollow you either as I’m blocking you instead,” One social media user wrote.

Another stated that, “Do you really support Donald Trump? I hope it’s not true. If so, all respect for you, especially as a woman of color has been and will forever be lost. There could never be a logical justification for this as a minority.”

One person said, “Your so brainwashed. I used to love you but you have been officially cancelled.”

“You just lost another fan. You should do your research about USA politics, politicians, personalities and issues before you embarrass yourself on entertainment report. I sat there and watch you speak the most ignorant set of sentences I have ever heard coming out of anybody’s mouth, talking about Trump is not racist… and how you’re going to vote for him… and trying to convince others that there’s sense in your stupendous confused notion. Then you prove your ignorance even more when you said Donald Trump’s wife is a Mexican.” One user said in a lengthly post.

However while many have since turned their backs on Etana, Tanya Stephens also took to social media to say, “Who no think Etana entitled to an opinion go labbajuice oonu self! Whole a oonu up a Embassy a tell bloodc****t lie a try run weh but oonu a run een pon di woman fi her opinion. Jamaica has a rape culture go fix bloodc****t that! Go fix the pedophilia! Go fix the crime rate! And while ur at it go have a convo with oonu family outside Jamaica see how many of THEM would come back!”
