Elephant Man is scheduled to meet with members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force at 2:00 pm today.

“The police have indicated that they want to talk him. It’s not a question-and-answer session. He’s not a suspect and he is not charged,” the Dancehall entertainer’s attorney, Christopher Townsend told the Jamaica Observer. “The police are just doing their due diligence and there is nothing wrong with that.”

Earlier this week, the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) launched an investigation to determine whether a firearm in a video involving Elephant Man and a woman is real.

The video, which surfaced over the weekend shows a female dancer in a swimsuit swinging and pointing what appears to be a firearm before passing it to the Dancehall entertainer.

Elephant Man Wanted By Cops Over Gun Video

Following a preliminary investigation conducted by the Firearm Licensing Authority (FLA) earlier this week, it was revealed that Elephant Man, whose given name is Oneal Bryan, does not hold a firearm licence. And in such a case, the matter would have been turned over to the police.

“We are aware of the matter and it is being investigated,” Assistant Superintendent Dahlia Garrick, head of the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) told the Jamaica Observer.

Garrick said the investigation process is diligent, “There are certain steps to be taken before we can confirm or enter anything into evidence. It is a video and we have to confirm a number of things to see if the evidence is sufficient to go before the court,” she continued.
