Popcaan and Vybz Kartel

Drake is in full support of Vybz Kartel and Popcaan ending their beef.

Last week the incarcerated Dancehall superstar publicly acknowledged Popcaan for the first time in over seven years.

Vybz Kartel’s Instagram account shared a throwback video calling out the ‘Unruly Boss’ at a stage show to perform his first smash hit single “No Ordinary Girl” back in 2009. “tbt [Throwback Thursday] me and Popcaan a f**k up [the place],” Kartel wrote under the video.

Popcaan liked and commented on the video saying, “timing belt” before adding “dawg yo mad enuh,” before uploading the video to his Instagram account which Kartel wrote, “Classic like me Reebok.”

Vybz Kartel Compared Vanessa Bling To Rihanna And Beyonce

The reunion was widely welcomed by Dancehall fans across the world including Canadian rapper Drake who is close to the two.

Drizzy liked the video showing his approval. According to sources close to the “In My Feelings” hitmaker is happy the two have put aside their differences and is hoping for so music from the two.

It took Vybz Kartel nearly a decade to forgive Popcaan. The self-proclaimed ‘Worl’ Boss’ and the Unruly Boss had a bitter falling out shortly after his arrest back in 2011.

Kartel infamously released a statement from behind bars bashing former members of his Gaza crew and then announcing the disbandment of Portmore Empire. In his stinging statement, the Empire boss called Popcaan, Tommy Lee Sparta, Vanessa Bling, and others disloyal for abandoning him shortly after his arrest.

Over the years we’ve also seen Vybz Kartel take jabs at Popcaan in songs and his most loyal soldier, Shawn Storm and even his kids. We are glad they have moved past their fallout.
