Devin Di Dakta has declared that no Dancehall artiste can contest him in a lyrical battle.

The “Rrri Bam Bi Deng Deng” star made the claims during a recent interview with Anthony Miller on TVJ’s Entertainment Report where he also shared what he has been up to since the turn of the year.

During the interview, the former Magnum Kings & Queens champion took swipes at the new wave of Dancehall artistes claiming that they are afraid to prove their lyrical prowess on stage.

“Nuh artiste cyaa clash mi, literally no artiste, especially if yuh put mi pon stage,” the deejay boldly proclaimed.

According to the deejay, he is not only superior lyrically to the majority of these current acts, but he also rules in stage performance.

Devin also revealed the reasons for him being relatively quiet on the music scene, claiming that he took a hiatus focus on the international scene after signing with the United States based independent label Downtown Records.

Despite his absence, the entertainer has enjoyed a silently progressive year after being featured on Sly & Robbie’s Grammy-nominated project, “Sly & Robbie Presents… Reggae For Her – Devin Di Dakta & JL.”
