Fans of Vybz Kartel should not expect a verdict in the entertainer’s ongoing appeal trial until at least December attorneys say.

According to Bert Samuels, who represents the deejay’s co-accused Shawn Storm, it is highly unlikely that a ruling will be made within the next few days or even weeks.

The experienced attorney says a swift verdict is unlikely in the entertainer’s case due to the current workload of the Court Of Appeal and also the length of the trial. He says they are hopeful that decision can be reached within the next term, which is December.

Vybz Kartel’s lead attorney, Valerie Neita-Robertson, says she wouldn’t mind if a verdict could be reached today but unfortunately they will have to wait on a written judgment after the court proceedings have been completed.

Attorneys Say Judge Downplayed Vybz Kartel’s Denial Of Wrongdoing

She says the deejay is in good spirits leading up to a decision, and they remain confident in a positive outcome as they have a very strong case.

The embattled deejay’s appeal case is set to continue next week with the prosecution set to continue their arguments as to why the entertainer should not be freed.

Vybz Kartel along with his co-accused Shawn Campbell, Kahira Jones and Andre St John were convicted of the killing of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams at a house in Havendale, St Andrew, in August 2011.
