Dancehall artiste Insideeus was desperate for success and fame when he decided to tattoo the corneas of his eyes red but almost lost his eyesight during the process.
The upcoming deejay, who is best known for his 2017 hit single “Despicable Wine,” which charted well in several countries including Australia after making BBC 1 Xtra’s playlist says the procedure almost cost him his eyesight.
According to the entertainer, his plight began several months after inking his eyes when he realised he could not see objects a certain distance. He claims he could not even recognise faces unless they were in close proximity.

The deejay says he was later advised by doctors that he would require corrective eye surgery to solve his vision problems, a procedure he successfully completed last month at a medical center in West Palm Beach, Florida.
However, despite all his troubles and even being labeled as a copycat by many fans, the deejay says he does not regret his decision, and would even repeat it given the chance as it brought him valuable attention to kickstart his career.
