The police have launched an investigation into a fire which damaged a section of St Peter and Paul Church in St Andrew on Sunday, with early suspicions pointing to a possible case of arson.
According to police reports, a religious leader was sleeping in his quarters at approximately 1:05 am when an alarm was made by security personnel saying a fire had broken out in a section of the church.
Fire fighters were called and the blaze was eventually extinguished.
Preliminary estimations put the damage at $100,000. No one was injured.
