Drama unfolded in Mandeville on Tuesday morning after police and firefighters were forced to rescue a cop who threatened to commit suicide.
According to reports, fire and police personnel were summoned to a building after a man climbed to the roof with a rope around his neck threatening to jump.
The man who was identified as a police officer, was reportedly persuaded to to calm down by fellow co-workers and a family member.
After being coaxed he was reportedly rescued from by the roof by the fire department and received counseling.
