Niko Matic a founding member of the popular Jamaican sound “Chromatic” has reportedly been admitted to hospital following his ongoing battle with Kidney disease.

It was revealed a few weeks ago that Nicholas “Niko” Grant, a member of the popular sound system outfit “Chromatic” has been suffering from Kidney disease, and was in urgent need of a transplant.

A GoFundMe page was set up by the entertainer’s spouse, which to date has raised approximately US $20,000 of a $50,000 target required for his surgery.

The urgent need for the entertainers surgery was reinforced last week after the popular MC reportedly had to be admitted to the University Hospital of the West Indies following complications.

According to his spouse, Kimberly Mais, he was experiencing a bit of complications, and was admitted as a formality.

Doctors have however urged the family to speed up the process of undergoing surgery, as both his kidneys have reportedly failed and are in need of a transplant.

The medical fund that was launched for Niko is still some US $30,000 away, but he and his family continue to be thankful for the support and remain optimistic.
