Childish Gambino’s new series “Atlanta” has been renewed for season two on FX.
The show which airs on Tuesday nights received impressive reviews after the season premiere. Gambino, is the executive producer of the show and the sitcom has been the best new TV show for the network within three years with approximately 3 million people tuning in to the series premiere and increasing in viewership weekly after each new episode.
“It’s really gratifying to launch two new comedies that have received overwhelming critical acclaim right out of the gate and that are emblematic of FX’s award-winning brand,” FX Presidents of Original Programming Nick Grad and Eric Schrier told Complex magazine.
This is the first major television project for Childish Gambino and it is a huge success, the show has a metacritic score of 90 which is remarkable for a new series, it might be a while before Gambino starts putting out new music since he is enjoying his new role as an executive producer.
