Cham has blasted the mass production culture of Dancehall music, saying the genre is becoming over-saturated.
The Veteran Dancehall artist has lashed out against his fellow Jamaican artist seemingly Vybz Kartel and Alkaline who he believes are putting out too much music, and over-saturating the industry.
While Cham failed to call any names, the Incarcerated superstar and his Vendetta deejay rival are the two artists on the top of the genre and are known for dishing out multiple singles monthly.
Last year Vybz Kartel announced that he would be released over 1000 new songs in 2017, however to Cham, Dancehall music has been suffering over the last few years as artists and producers are putting greater emphasis on quantity rather than quality.

This strategy he believes is counterproductive, as it leaves artists with tons of lukewarm street anthems and very few songs that will actually last the test of time.

Over the span of his career, Cham has been renown for deliberately regulated the amount of music he actually puts out, usually limiting himself to only a handful of singles per year and a better overall catalog.
The Mad House Records deejay most recently dominated the charts with hits such as “Wine,” “Drop It,” “Back Way” and “Tun Up.”
The deejay did however admit that his formula may not necessarily work the same for everyone, but he believes it would be wiser to gamble on one album annually as opposed to dozens of singles.
Cham recently dropped his latest album “Lawless,” which is produced by his long time collaborator Dave Kelly, which peaked at number five on the Billboard Reggae Chart.
