Bounty Killer has joined the ongoing debate on who is the new King of Dancehall.

The veteran deejay publicly cosigned Vybz Kartel as the KOD over his on again , off again rival Beenie Man, when he reposted a clip of the Worl’ Boss’ recent feature on Fox 5 New York news to his Instagram page.

“More Black Excellency,” Bounty Killer wrote under the video, the caption also read, “Vybz Kartel remains a dominant force in our music because of THE CONTINUOUS HITS HE PUTS OUT STILL WHILE IMPRISONED and huge respect to all Vloggers that KEEPS HIS NAME GOING BEYOND THE MUSIC.”

Meanwhile, Beenie Man who has been referring to himself as the King of Dancehall since the 1990s, responded to critics on Instagram recently by sharing a throwback photo with a cryptic caption.

“1995 before social media, streaming platforms, and digital media. Then and now. #dancehall #LoverOftheMusic&theCulture #reggae #IfYouKnowYouKnow #FashionIcon #DancehallKing #MusicalPioneer,” the Doc wrote while adding a king emoji.
