Barrington Levy’s alleged shooting is a mystery to law enforcement officers.

According to reports, neither the police’s information arm, Constabulary Communication Network, nor the Frankfield Police Station in Clarendon has any record of the incident.

Veteran entertainer claims he was accidentally shot in the back on Tuesday evening. In a video uploaded to his Instagram account, Levy expressed gratitude for being alive.

“Yes, my people, one more time. I just wanna say blessed evening or night or day. I just want to say to you it’s a shame how you can be here today and gone tomorrow. I want to share this with you. I accidentally get shot last night in my back,” the ‘Too Experienced’ singer said while lifting up his shirt to reveal the bandaged area where he was wounded.

“We’re here and we’re saying give thanks for life because we don’t know when anything can happen, in a minute, in a second. I’m thanking the Almighty God that I’m still here, still pushing the virus and we need to still push the love virus around the world. Blessed love, Barrington Levy say up and ya’ll take care of yourselves and be safe,” he added.

Meanwhile, Barrington Levy’s business partner and booking agent Daddy Biggs says the singer will honour his gig in Trinidad and Tobago next weekend.

Levy is scheduled to perform at Magnum Tonic Wine’s Explosion Inferno in Port of Spain on June 9 along side Capleton and Sizzla Kalonji.
